Responsibilities: These roles focus on PRINT MEDIA 1. Implement the strategy,policy,standards,guidelines,tools and processes for the Global Media Relations Centre of Excellence to deliver the RDS media strategy 2. Develop creative tactics to proactively push the strategic Shell message in line with the campaign direction to better position the strengths of Shell and thereby differentiating the company positively. 3. Enhance Shells relationships with the media and to leverage the successful execution of business strategy,and our themed media campaign,to maximize profile and positive coverage of the company and minimize negative coverage 4. Promote understanding of the company and its strategy among the media 5. To hold,develop and maintain credibile relationships with key press and journalists across the full range of media 6. Organise press conferences,productbusiness/project launches,media site facilities visits and briefings 7. Provide 24/7 crisis response capability 8. To assess and advise the Executive Chairman and the CCT Businesses Executive Committee/EVPs of the likely twists the media may give to issues and to propose plans to pre-empt them. Requirements: 1. Relevant degree or extensive relevant work experience with a large multinational listed company 2. Experience in managing and influencing key stakeholders at senior levels within an organisation 3. Experience working professionally as a journalist OR substantial experience working in a corporate communications team within a complex organisation in either the public or private sector. This experience should include extensive front line experience dealing with media enquiries on controversial issues 4.
